Job Title

Lead Warehouse Technician

Position Summary

The Warehouse Lead oversees daily operations, ensures efficiency, accuracy, and safety, and coordinates with associates, management, and other departments. The candidate must bring strong leadership, attention to detail, and a hands‑on approach to warehouse operations.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise daily receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Assign tasks to staff and monitor performance to meet productivity goals.
  • Train new employees and coach team members on safety procedures, operational policies, and equipment use.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with logistics, purchasing, and customer service to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment safely and efficiently (certified).
  • Report operational issues and employee performance to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Use SAP MM and PM modules for materials management and inventory control.
  • Perform goods verification and receipt.
  • Manage non‑stock materials and direct charge items.
  • Support material preservation and 5S housekeeping.
  • Complete daily equipment and weekly warehouse safety audits according to HSEQ plans.
  • Communicate effectively with refinery personnel regarding materials and inventory levels.
  • Participate in meetings, safety programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Miscellaneous tasks as assigned.

Badge In/Out

Accurately track time on site; badge in and out every arrival and departure. Attendance protocols apply to all locations.

Qualifications
  • Consistently exhibit Dedication, Integrity, Safety, and Connection.
  • High School Diploma/ GED required.
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with inventory software and basic computer skills (MS Office, SAP, Maximo).
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment.
  • Rapid acquisition of environmental compliance knowledge.
  • Strong troubleshooting and database skills.
  • Basic mechanical skills.
Education/Experience

High School diploma or equivalent required;
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Language Ability

Fluent in English; strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

Math Ability

Basic arithmetic and algebra; apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Reasoning Ability

Solve practical problems and interpret instructions in varied contexts.

Computer Skills

Basic computer skills include email, internet, software, databases, and other programs.

Certificates/Licenses

Valid driver’s license; travel to job sites across state lines.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None.

Work Environment

Moderate to loud noise; ear protection provided. Indoor warehouse with limited temperature control; weather can be unfavorable. Flame‑resistant clothing required.

Physical Demands

Stand, walk, sit, crouch, bend, twist, and reach for most of the workday; lift up to 50 lbs.; climb heights up to 200 ft.; drive vehicles as needed.

Position Details
  • 40 hrs/week (8 hrs/day, 5 days/week)
  • Overtime required based on company needs
  • Eligible for quarterly/annual performance‑based bonuses – TBD
