The IT Technician is responsible for supporting the University IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable access to technology, and providing timely technical assistance

• Monitoring and maintaining IT systems to ensure optimal performance and accessibility.
• Responding to user inquiries and providing guidance on the use of network applications and devices.
• Delivering IT services in a prompt, efficient, and customer-focused manner.
• Assisting in maintaining IT documentation and adherence to operational standards.
• Ensuring all technology resources are up to date with appropriate hardware and software.
• Installing and configuring hardware and software on workstations.
• Performing maintenance and repairs on IT equipment.
• Troubleshooting issues related to computers, printers, projectors, photocopiers, and audiovisual systems.
• Implementing and maintaining computer security measures.
• Configuring workstations within the network environment.
• Providing technical support both on-site and remotely (via phone or email).
• Managing and maintaining computer labs to ensure smooth operation.
• Assisting with the setup and support of online interviews.
• Managing the movement and tracking of IT assets related to the Helpdesk section.
• Providing technical support for events held in the auditorium.
• Any other related tasks assigned by line manager.

• Working knowledge of computer hardware and software systems.
• Working knowledge of computer networks, network administration and installation.
• Working knowledge of computer troubleshooting.
• Ability to install and administer computer hardware, software and networks.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong IT skills.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.

Bachelor degree from an accredited university in IT or Computer Science or related field.
