Senior Supply Chain Specialist – Sur, Oman CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client is a major energy company operating in Oman. They are currently seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to be based in their Sur office.

• Preparing and implementing the annual procurement/contract placement plan, including procurement budgets
• Overseeing end-to-end procurement processes, including requisition, approval, and purchase order issuance, compliance with procurement policies, and ensuring accurate documentation
• Implementing and optimising procurement policies, procedures, and workflows
• Ensuring the timely and accurate procurement of goods and services to meet operational needs
• Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with the company’s needs
• Broadening the supplier base, and maintaining healthy supplier relationships
• Identifying potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, and establishing supplier selection criteria
• Leading negotiations for favourable terms, pricing, and quality standards

• Degree qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering, Logistics, or similar discipline
• Professional qualification in supply chain/contracts management (e.g. CIPS) would be beneficial. PMP certification is advantageous
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in professional procurement, contracting, and warehouse management, including drafting & negotiating commercial contracts, with at least 3 years in a senior role
• Previous experience within the energy/power industry would be highly advantageous
• Strong project execution and follow-up capabilities, with the ability to work autonomously and with multiple tasks
• Previous history of working in the GCC region would be preferred
