Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Surabaya. The Accountant will handle day‑day financial transactions, including recording journal entries, maintaining ledgers, and preparing invoices and payment documentation. The role includes preparing and analyzing financial statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and reconciling bank and account balances. The Accountant will ensure accurate tax calculations and compliance with local regulations, support internal and external audits, and help implement and improve accounting procedures and controls.
Collaboration with other departments to provide financial data and clarify accounting issues is an integral part of the role.
- Solid knowledge of basic accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger management.
- Proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., Excel) and familiarity with ERP or financial systems.
- Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and audit processes.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple deadlines and high‑volume transactions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to present financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills to identify discrepancies, propose corrective actions, and improve processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an on‑site environment in Surabaya.
- Prior experience in an accounting or finance role is preferred but not strictly required for strong entry‑level candidates.
