Sales Engineer

Overview

PT. Contromatic Prima Mandiri is seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Sales Engineer to join our team, focusing on the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) / Non-EPC sectors within the Upstream and Downstream Oil/Gas/Power/Mining industries. This role requires a blend of engineering knowledge and sales skills to effectively promote and sell our products and services, ensuring client satisfaction and driving company growth.

• Plays a vital role in growing sales by engaging with assigned customers, keeping abreast of new product needs and developments.
• Continuously improve relationships with existing accounts by understanding customers  requirements and expectations.
• Prefer to have experience/understanding of Valves, Air-fin Cooler, Plate Heat Exchanger, and Insulation Products.
• Have supply or networking experience in plants/industries for the EPC and Non-EPC sectors within the Upstream and Downstream Oil/Gas/Power/Mining industries.
• Handles customers, suppliers, and agents for technical and other inquiries.
• Attends sales visits, technical and commercial meetings.
• Seeks prospects for new sales opportunities.
• Prepares sales forecasts and plans.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Educational Background: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Certification in control valve design and operation (e.g., Pertecnica Engineering's Program).
• Technical
  
  Experience:
  
  3 - 8+ years of sales experience in the valve industry, with a focus on control valves, safety relief valves, or on/off valves.
• Familiarity with valve components (actuator, positioners, trim),
  sizing calculations and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of industry standards for Oil & Gas, Power Generation, or Petrochemical sectors.
• Solution-oriented selling skills, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with CRM tools.
• Strong verbal/written skills to explain technical concepts clearly.

• Understanding of digital trends (smart valves, IIoT platforms, etc.).
• Awareness of sustainability requirements.
