The role involves the design, development, testing, and support of electrical systems and equipment for various projects in Indonesia. This includes working with low-voltage panels, distribution networks, control systems, and conducting field commissioning. Mid-level professionals are expected to independently manage project deliverables and collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and Documentation:
Create single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). - Equipment Specification:
Develop technical specifications and assess supplier proposals for switch gear, transformers, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), relays, and protective devices. - Control Systems and PLCs:
Set up and test PLC/SCADA logic as well as HMI interfaces; conduct Factory Acceptance. - Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Testing and Commissioning:
Oversee site installation checks along with commissioning processes, troubleshooting issues, and managing handover activities. - Compliance and Safety:
Ensure that designs adhere to local regulations and industry standards while supporting safety audits and quality assessments. - Field Support:
Offer technical assistance during installations by diagnosing faults and implementing corrective measures.
Experience:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
Experience:3 to 5 years in electrical design, commissioning, or maintenance within power generation or heavy industrial settings.
TechnicalSkills:
Proficient in schematic capture; panel design; PLC programming; commissioning; adept at using testing equipment like multimeters, clamp meters, insulation testers, and oscilloscopes. Furthermore, able to analogize the Electrical equipment and cable specifications.
Software Proficiency:Familiarity with AutoCAD/EPLAN for drafting purposes; basic knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink or electrical calculation tools is a plus.
LanguageSkills:
Competency in Bahasa Indonesia, alongside functional English for technical documentation and communication with suppliers.
PreferredSkills:
- Background in medium-voltage distribution systems or protection relays as well as experience with power plant equipment.
- Practical experience in on-site commissioning tasks including fault diagnosis.
- Awareness of functional safety standards or relevant industry regulations (e.g., IEC standards or local PLN requirements).
- Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities paired with meticulous attention to detail. Effective communication skills along with the ability to collaborate successfully across engineering disciplines as well as procurement teams on-site. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed while maintaining flexible hours during commissioning phases.
