Master Data Analyst – Job Profile
In your new position as our Master Data Analyst, you will have a critical role in our global MDM set‑up covering the entire value chain from development and production to sales and retail. You work with multiple data teams to ensure the quality of our Master Data and that its maintenance follows global guidelines.
Responsibilities- Designing and implementing data integration workflows using ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, dbt.
- Transforming data to meet the requirements of the target system or data warehouse.
- Loading transformed data into a data warehouse or other storage systems for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Collaborating with Data Analysts to ensure that data integration solutions support the organization's reporting and analysis needs.
- Monitoring and optimizing data integration processes to ensure that data is loaded efficiently and accurately. Ensuring effective communication and collaboration across cross‑functional teams involved in data projects.
- Contributing to documentation, standards, and policy development while coordinating testing and validation efforts.
You enjoy diving into master data, and you do so with a structured and detail‑oriented approach. Furthermore, you are a fast learner, team player, like collaborating with others, and you are innovative and able to suggest new approaches or solutions to improve our services. As your team is located at multiple locations, you need to be able to work independently and feel comfortable using TEAMS and similar online tools.
You have a strong drive and ability to deliver within deadlines.
- A Computer Science or equivalent education.
- Know‑how in working on development using languages such as SQL and Python.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies, like Snowflake.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (like AWS, Azure, GCP) and their data services.
- Hands‑on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Solid knowledge of advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, charts).
- Understanding of business KPIs, metrics, and dashboard/report creation.
- Be a proactive member of the master data management team, ensuring alignment with the organization's strategic goals and objectives.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data architecture and engineering and apply this knowledge to improve the organization's data capabilities.
- Expertise in driving compliance, risk mitigation, and high‑quality IT solutions.
- Knowledge in working in agile environments and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate between technical and business teams.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowing SAP or D365 would be helpful.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
