Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a commercially aware and technically capable Senior Business Analyst to support business strategy, operational improvement, and digital execution. This role will work closely with appointed business leaders and key stakeholders within the client organisation to understand priorities, assess challenges, and recommend the most suitable solutions for implementation.

The successful candidate will translate business objectives into clear requirements, insight frameworks, process improvements, and practical delivery plans, whilst collaborating with internal users and external development teams.

• Work closely with designated business leaders, department heads, and stakeholders to understand commercial priorities, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.
• Translate management objectives into actionable initiatives, KPIs, and solution recommendations.
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and requirement discussions with business users.
• Provide data‑led recommendations to improve revenue, margin, efficiency, and service levels.

• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Prepare high‑level solution designs, workflows, and process enhancement proposals.
• Map current-state ("As‑Is") and future-state ("To‑Be") business processes.
• Define integration requirements across ERP, POS, CRM, WMS, eCommerce, and third‑party platforms.
• Ensure recommended solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned to business objectives.
• Support the development of management dashboards and business intelligence solutions using Power BI or equivalent platforms.
• Analyse structured and unstructured data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and root causes.
• Produce actionable insights across sales performance, customer behaviour, pricing, promotions, stock management, supply chain, and profitability.
• Establish meaningful reporting packs with clear KPIs for management review.
• Work closely with software developers, data engineers, and solution vendors to ensure accurate delivery against agreed requirements.
• Assist with backlog prioritisation, sprint planning, and implementation tracking where relevant.
• Review outputs against business expectations and agreed functional scope.
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), issue resolution, deployment readiness, and rollout activities.
• Monitor risks, scope changes, and delivery timelines, escalating where appropriate.
• Identify opportunities for automation, process simplification, and improved use of business data.
• Encourage sound data governance, reporting standards, and business ownership of systems.
• Support wider digital transformation initiatives and future roadmap planning.
• Assist users in adopting new systems, dashboards, and improved ways of working.

• 3+ years’ experience in Business Analysis, Data Analytics, Digital Transformation, or related roles.
• Experience with in FMCG, Retail, Distribution, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain environments is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience working across business users and technical teams on system or reporting projects.

• Strong understanding of SQL and data structures.
• Practical experience with Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent BI platforms.
• Familiarity with ERP / POS / CRM / WMS systems and related integrations.
• Exposure to Python, APIs, ETL processes, or cloud analytics platforms would be advantageous.

• Strong commercial awareness with the ability to connect analysis to business outcomes.
