About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager / QA Manager in Surabaya, East Java to oversee quality operations in our footwear manufacturing factory.

This role will lead the factory quality team, manage daily quality performance, solve production quality issues, and work closely with Production, PPIC, IE, Development, Warehouse, and customer representatives to ensure product quality and smooth delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Manage overall factory quality operations, including incoming inspection, in-line quality control, final inspection, and shipment quality control

Lead and develop the quality team, including quality supervisors, team leaders, and inspectors

Monitor daily quality performance, defect rates, rework status, customer complaints, and improvement actions

Work with Production, PPIC, IE, Development, Warehouse, and related teams to prevent and solve quality issues

Analyze defects, identify root causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions

Support customer audits, brand quality reviews, internal audits, and quality improvement projects

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in quality control / quality assurance within footwear manufacturing

Experience as a Quality Manager, QA Manager, QC Manager, Quality Supervisor, Quality VSS, or similar quality leadership role

Familiar with footwear production processes, including cutting, stitching, assembly, lasting, finishing, bottom process, and secondary process

Strong hands-on experience in defect analysis, root cause analysis, corrective action follow-up, rework control, and inline quality improvement

Able to lead quality teams and work closely with cross-functional departments to prevent and solve quality issues

Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia. Professional working English communication ability is preferred

Nice-to-have Qualifications

Experience working with international footwear brands such as Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Puma, ASICS, Converse, Crocs, Skechers, or similar brand

Experience with AQL, 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, PDCA, CAPA, or other quality improvement tools

Experience supporting customer audits, brand audits, ISO audits, or quality compliance review

Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, defect reduction, rework reduction, or continuous improvement projects
