Quality Assurance Engineer

Quality Assurance Engineer who is passionate about delivering high-quality software, ensuring reliable user experiences, and driving continuous improvement through effective testing practices.

The QA Engineer will be part of the Global Quality Engineering team and will primarily support the Headless development team. The focus of the role is to ensure high-quality delivery through manual testing, regression testing, defect validation, and close cooperation with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA team members. This position supports ECCO’s strategy of strengthening the IT hub in Indonesia and expanding the Headless team in this location.

The role will contribute to building stable local QA support for global digital platforms while remaining part of the global Quality Engineering organization. The QA Engineer will report directly to the Head of Quality Engineering and will work according to global QA standards, processes, and priorities.

• Analyze business requirements and design comprehensive test cases based on functional specifications.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across web and mobile applications.
• Identify, report, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.
• Collaborate closely with development, business, and project teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Ensure adequate test coverage and maintain test documentation in accordance with QA standards and best practices.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, team meetings, and sprint planning sessions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and testing practices.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level certification (or familiarity with ISTQB principles) is an advantage.
• 2–3 years of experience in a Software Quality Assurance (QA) role.
• Proven experience in test case design, test execution, and defect tracking.
• Experience testing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) and Customer Service is an advantage.
• Hands‑on experience with API testing using Postman.
• Experience using JIRA and/or test management tools such as Zephyr, Xray, Test Rail, or Test Flo.
• Proficient in analysing requirements and designing test cases.
• High attention to detail and commitment to software quality.
• Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross‑functional teams.
• Customer‑first mindset with a strong focus on delivering quality solutions.
• Willing to work in a hybrid setup based in Surabaya.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
