Overview
Supervise vessel planning activities prior to the vessel arriving to port. Planning shall include the sequence of loading and discharging cargo from ships, and placement of cargo in the yard (port area).
Together with Operations Senior Manager provide solutions on day-to-day issues and propose improvements to workflow in order to enhance productivity and efficiency of the port operations in Surabaya.
Responsibilities- Perform daily planning on resource allocation (berths, yard and stowage planning).
- Ensure the loading and discharging activity is performed accurately and timely. Make sure to upload all details on times.
- Monitor that relevant data on vessel operations is delivered to terminal operators and authorities to receive all necessary call information. Review and check required documents associated with operations in an accurate and timely manner.
- Work closely with terminal operator to ensure container traffic is handled by the port in a timely manner.
- Act as a focal point for any issues that may arise with assigned vessel.
- Oversee cargo handling operations. This includes:
- Control that inbounds and T/S dangerous cargo data is transmitted to the local port authorities according to the port regulations.
- Supervise that prior start of cargo operations the vessel receives a complete dangerous cargo, reefer, OOG and break bulk manifest.
- Supervise the monitoring of port stay and ensure that vessels are sailing after completion of cargo operation.
- Participate fully in training sessions, meetings, skill building and professional development classes.
- Any other assignment as and when assigned by the direct superior whenever required.
- Manage and guide the team member, ensuring standardized process, adhere with compliance and maintaining KPI.
- Equip the team with new training and updated knowledge, and motivate them to achieve all the objectives.
- Manage logistics stock and flow share with close coordination with JKT team.
- Manage MNR workflow in SUB with close coordinate with JKT team / ARO.
