Job Overview

We are looking for a highly driven and detail‑oriented Operation Trucking Supervisor to oversee the daily performance of our trucking fleet. This role is responsible for ensuring that all transportation activities including driver scheduling, route planning, load optimization, and job execution are completed accurately, safely, and on time. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a data‑driven mindset, and the ability to maintain seamless communication with both drivers and head office teams.

Job Responsibilities 1. Operational Oversight

Oversee daily trucking fleet operations, including driver scheduling, route planning, load optimization, and on‑time job execution.

Optimize fleet and driver allocation to meet productivity and company objectives.

Conduct daily and weekly coordination meetings with Head Office teams.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous learning within the operational team.

3. Performance Management

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on‑time delivery, fuel efficiency, fleet utilization, driver safety, and overall operational quality.

Evaluate performance of orders, vehicles, and drivers to identify improvement opportunities.

Analyze operational data and implement preventive and corrective actions.

Prepare and present regular performance reports to the Transport Manager.

4. Cost Management

Monitor and control operational expenses including fuel, maintenance, and labor costs.

5. Communication

Maintain clear and consistent communication with customers regarding delivery schedules, delays, and operational updates.

Identify potential new business opportunities and conduct local cost benchmarking.

Leverage Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and other software tools to optimize daily operations and improve efficiency.

Lead process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance and reducing overall transportation costs.

8. Safety & Compliance

Ensure all trucking operations comply with government and local transportation regulations.

Enforce safety policies, SOPs, and best practices across the fleet.

Conduct safety meetings, driver briefings, and training sessions to mitigate HSE risks.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).

Minimum 5 years of experience in trucking, fleet operations, or logistics supervision.

Strong understanding of transportation regulations, routing strategies, and fleet management.

Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and drive improvements.

Proficiency in MS Office and transportation management software (TMS).

Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and adapt to fast‑changing operational needs.
