Senior Merchandiser Purchaser

PT LIMYINGYING GROUP INDONESIA is a Singapore-owned garment company supplying intimate apparel to customers in North America and Europe. Founded half-a-century ago, the group is expanding its business and manufacturing interests in Southeast Asia, including in other ASEAN countries. In Indonesia our facilities are invested in Surakarta, Jawa Tengah, where we are seeking to enhance our production and sourcing base, in Java and greater Indonesia.

The successful candidate will source, find, develop and use Indonesian resources to produce garments for export to customers in Europe and America. Indonesian resources we look for include good-looking fabrics, materials and sub-materials, lace, lining and accessories. Kebaya lacework, cutwork, traditional embroidery, and yarns, of good quality. Indigenous Indonesian flavour, design and make are also favoured, including Indonesian and Batik prints.

Good production factories and contractors in Indonesia are appreciated by us. Sourcing, locating and referring Indonesian factories to us represent a highlight feature of the work of the employee, who will receive company recognition and reward as appropriate.

• Source and procure development materials to support product manufacturing, development, design creation and innovation. The Merchandiser-Purchaser is an important spearhead of the growth and movement of our growing Indonesian company.
• Collaborate with the Design, Merchandising and Production teams to procure the right products and quantities based on customer requirements and market needs.
• Maintain timely restocking of products.
• Monitor and report on the performance of different materials purchased and products made from the materials.

• Experience of at least four years in a similar merchandiser or retail purchasing role
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills to drive informed merchandising decisions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with cross-functional teams
• Creative mindset with an eye for visual merchandising, design and product presentation
• Proficiency in using merchandising and inventory management software
• A collaborative team player with a commercial mindset
