Specialist Accountant

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with at least 5 years of professional experience in handling end-to-end accounting functions. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, taxation, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
- Conduct bank reconciliations and vendor/customer reconciliations
- Handle TDS, GST, and other statutory compliance including timely filing of returns
- Assist in preparing financial statements as per applicable accounting standards
- Manage invoices, payments, petty cash, and employee reimbursements
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and government regulations

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (CA Inter / M.Com preferred but not mandatory)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance
- Proficient in Tally ERP / SAP / Quick Books or other accounting software
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory requirements
- Hands-on experience in preparing MIS reports and financial statements
- Excellent Excel and MS Office skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
