About the Role
We are setting up a state-of-the-art gummy manufacturing facility and are looking for an experienced Gummy Formulation Scientist / Expert to lead formulation development, scale-up, and product optimization for nutraceutical gummies.
This is a key technical role with high ownership, working closely with production, QA, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize gummy formulations (gelatin & pectin/vegan)
- Work on vitamin, mineral, herbal, functional gummies
- Texture, taste, colour, and shelf-life optimization
- Scale-up from lab/pilot to commercial production
- Support starchless moulding production
- Conduct stability studies & documentation
- Coordinate with QA for GMP & FSSAI compliance
- Assist in new product development (NPD) and cost optimization
- Support machine trials, SOPs, and process validation
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in gummy formulation
- Knowledge of gelatin, pectin, sugar-free systems
- Understanding of active ingredient compatibility
- Experience with industrial gummy equipment
- Familiar with FSSAI regulations & documentation
- Ability to troubleshoot texture, bloom, stickiness, sweating issues
Educational Background
- MSc Food Technology / Food Science
- MPharm (Pharmaceutics)
- MSc Chemistry / related discipline
- (Practical experience is more important than degrees)
