As the Senior Administrative Specialist, you will directly support the Community Development Director, act as secretary to the City’s Planning and Zoning Commission and support Assistant Directors and multiple divisions within the department.

The Planning and Zoning Commission meetings are bi-monthly on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 6:00 pm in Council Chambers (excluding holidays) and attendance is required.
SUMMARYProvides a high level of administrative support to the Department Director, acts as a liaison with other departments and works closely with city management and department directors in coordinating activities and special projects. Responsibilities are characterized by a variety of administrative activities with minimal supervision that require the use of independent judgment and confidentiality to prepare correspondence, reports, documents and essential research and analysis of data.
Assists with the development, coordination, administration, and monitoring of the department's operating budget by researching, analyzing and updating data, reviewing budget requests, and department performance measures. Also functions as the Secretary for the Planning and Zoning Commission.
High School Diploma, or G.E.D., and four years of progressively responsible clerical experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed in the job description. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
