Summary
Incumbents perform a variety of operational and monitoring activities for the City's solid waste and recycling programs to ensure compliance with solid waste rules, policies, regulations, and ordinances. Incumbents perform field inspection work, repair and exchange cracked containers, respond to customer requests, investigate and resolve complaints, and attend outreach events to educate the public on solid waste and recycling programs, and carry out container collection and/or delivery services.
Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED, and one year of customer service and/or community outreach experience. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
Certifications, Licenses, RegistrationsMust have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
Selection ProcessApplicants whose education, training and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include a panel interview and an assessment exercise.
