GOVERNMENT RELATIONS COORDINATOR (full‑time temporary assignment through June 30, 2026) –
Location:
Surprise, AZ
Under general supervision, this position serves as an integral member of the Government Relations team, performing a wide variety of support duties including special projects, research studies, interdepartmental communication, and other specialized functions. The coordinator conducts professional‑level duties involving the review, research and analysis of proposed state and federal legislation affecting the City.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE- Bachelor's Degree in public administration, political science or related field, and three years of experience in municipal and/or legislative research and analysis. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
- Master’s Degree in Public Administration or related field preferred.
- Previous legislative and/or municipal experience is preferred.
Must have a valid Arizona Driver License at time of hire and be able to maintain it.
