The Charge Nurse is responsible for providing direct nursing care to guests and supervising day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Supervision must comply with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, and as required by the Director of Nursing to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained.

- Direct day‑to‑day functions of nursing assistants in accordance with regulations.
- Ensure nursing personnel comply with written policies and procedures.
- Cooperate with guest services to coordinate nursing services.
- Participate in facility surveys and interpret policies to personnel, guests, visitors, and government agencies.
- Admit, transfer, and discharge guests as required.
- Perform administrative duties: complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
- File required record‑keeping forms upon admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
- Encourage physicians to review treatment plans and record orders.
- Receive telephone orders from physicians and enter into EHR and medication cards.
- Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
- Provide leadership to nursing personnel on your unit/shift.
- Make daily rounds to ensure personnel perform assignments per nursing standards.
- Current, valid RN and LPN licenses or temporary licenses through the State Board of Nursing or compact licenses, maintained until hire.
- CPR certification required.
- At least one year of recent, verifiable experience as a licensed RN and LPN.
- One year of previous supervisory experience.
- Recent licensed experience in LTC/SNF/Rehab strongly preferred.
- Fingerprint clearance card required.
