Pay: $18.00 – $22.00 per hour + tips DOE

Trapper's Sushi is looking to grow our team by adding a new Sushi Chef in Surprise, Arizona!

As one of the Pacific Northwest's most desired dining establishments, we've brought our concept to Arizona and are quickly opening our fourth store in Surprise!

At Trapper's, our mission is to learn our customers' names and provide the best service and food possible-leaving our guests with a craving to come back for more!

The Sushi Chef will be responsible for making sushi and other menu items while delivering an exceptional guest experience. Chefs work closely with other kitchen staff and are responsible for adhering to health and safety standards.

- Training is available immediately at our Avondale location.

• Create high-quality sushi, including rolling, cutting, and packaging for dine-in and take-out

• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and quality standards are strictly adhered to

• Provide a high level of guest satisfaction, especially at the sushi bar

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station

• Display knowledge of menu items and promotions

• Complete opening and closing duties efficiently and safely

• Demonstrate and uphold all TRAPCHK core values

• Proven experience as a Sushi Chef, Sushi Roller, or restaurant cook

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and speed

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Positive attitude under pressure

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred;
  Culinary school diploma a plus

• Arizona Food Handler Card required before first day of work

• Regularly lift items up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 20 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds

• Stand for extended periods, walk, reach, lift, twist, crouch throughout the shift

• Competitive pay: $18.00 – $22.00/hr + tips DOE
