Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Utility Technician
SUMMARY
Incumbents perform semi-skilled activities and assist with skilled activities related to installation, modification, repair, and maintenance of water treatment, wastewater treatment, wastewater collection, and/or water distribution mechanical systems, equipment, and components. Incumbents keep records utilizing a computerized maintenance management system.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED, and one year of mechanical maintenance experience. Directly-related wastewater, water, collections, and/or distribution system maintenance experience desired. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMust have at time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License.
SELECTION PROCESSApplicants whose education, training and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include a panel interview.
