Summary
Incumbents perform journey-level repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of automotive and small equipment; and assist Fleet Technicians II and Fleet Technicians III with general repairs and maintenance on a variety of diverse equipment and vehicles such as solid waste vehicles, construction equipment, fire apparatus, bucket trucks, and others.
Education and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED, and two years of automotive or heavy truck servicing, maintenance, and repair experience OR completion of an accredited automotive or diesel training program at a trade school or community college. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
Certifications, Licenses, RegistrationsMust have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License. Must have at time of hire EPA 609 A/C refrigerant handlers card (or obtain within 6 months of hire).
Selection ProcessApplicants whose education, training and experience most closely meet the needs of the position may be invited to participate in a selection process to include a panel interview.
