Mold Maintenance Technician

Looking for an experienced Mold Maintenance Technician? Join our team and help maintain, repair, and improve plastic injection molds to ensure efficient production and high-quality products. This hands‑on position is ideal for someone with experience in mold maintenance, machining, welding, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs.

• Inspect, maintain, and repair plastic injection molds according to blueprints and specifications.
• Perform machining, welding, and polishing to repair and modify molds as needed.
• Troubleshoot and repair mold heaters, hydraulic cylinders, and electrical components.
• Install and route water lines for mold cooling systems.
• Identify mold issues and determine when outside vendors are needed for major repairs.
• Coordinate mold repairs with outside vendors and monitor project timelines.
• Prepare molds for shipping and receive new molds.
• Track mold inventory and maintain accurate records of parts and repairs.
• Troubleshoot mold performance issues and maintain product quality by controlling flash levels.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain an organized work area.

• Completion of two years of technical school training or five years of equivalent experience in tool and die making or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of the metric system, mathematics, and algebra.
• Experience with machining, welding, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs preferred.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage repair projects efficiently.
