Housing Case Aide (Surprise)

Position Summary

The Supportive Housing Case Aide provides stability to residents through enforcement of community guidelines, life skills education, case management services, and compliance with state and federal laws for NAC properties.

Responsibilities
  • Initiate contact and engage residents, guests, and outside support systems.
  • Maintain the daily shift report and document resident comings and goings.
  • Organize and facilitate social activities, including creating flyers and promoting events.
  • Complete daily shift tasks such as property safety walks and cleaning duties.
  • Assist Maintenance in removing trash from vacant units and clean/replenish soft goods for move-in ready units.
  • Collaborate with Case Management and Property Management on monthly community meetings to improve payment history, health and safety issues, and resident conduct through group education.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Educational Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
Experience & Skills
  • One year of experience in service delivery or related education, training, or work experience.
  • Knowledge of the economic, educational, and social problems of Native Americans and referral services.
  • Must be able to work well with others in a team approach.
  • Excellent communication skills – written and oral.
  • Experience working with the Native American population preferred.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • MS Office skills.

Preference is given to qualified Native American applicants in accordance with the Indian Preference Act. If claiming a preference, a copy of valid documentation will be required.

Fair Labor Standards Act

This position is considered exempt for overtime pay provisions as provided by the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and applicable state laws. Non-exempt employees are entitled to overtime pay for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours per work week.
