ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accountant to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This role offers full-cycle accounting responsibility within a manufacturing and project-based environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO and operational leadership, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting financial decision-making. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and timely processing

Lead the month-end close process, including reconciliations and financial statement preparation

Perform full-cycle accounting including AR, AP, payroll coordination, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance

Monitor and reconcile inventory and job costing within a fabrication/manufacturing environment

Support cash flow management, banking activities, and account reconciliations

Track equipment, fixed assets, amortization, and capital expenditures

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Prepare year-end working papers and liaise with external accountants

Ensure compliance with GST, PST, WCB, payroll remittances, and other regulatory requirements

Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation

Provide financial insights to ownership and project managers to support operational decisions

Assist with process improvements and strengthening internal controls

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

CPA designation or active pursuit considered an asset

2–4 years of full-cycle accounting experience

Experience with in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or industrial environments strongly preferred

Strong understanding of inventory accounting and job costing

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Quick Books, or similar ERP systems)

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with operations

Highly organized with strong attention to detail

Analytical and proactive mindset

Ability to work independently in a hands-on environment

COMPENSATION

Base salary in the range of $70,000 – $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications
