Nanak Foods is hiring an ambitious and dynamic Accounts Payable & Payroll Administrator reporting to the financial controller.

Established in 1997, and wholly owned by Canadian shareholders of South Asian descent, Nanak Foods specializes in the manufacturing of paneer cheese, ghee (clarified butter), yogurt and various dairy-based appetizers and desserts. Nanak Foods manufacturing facilities are CFIA, FDA and EU approved and have Safe Quality Food (SQF) level 3 certification ensuring continual monitoring for quality, safety and legality.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and verify vendor invoices in a multi currency set up.Coding of vendor invoicesApply invoices to Purchase order receiving’s in the ERP and identify discrepanciesVendor Follow ups and communicationVendor statement reconciliationsLiaising with internal departments for missing or incomplete supportingLising with internal departments for Payment approvalsPreparing Weekly Cheque runsApplying payments to invoices and updating vendor accounts.Review GST account and adjust as necessaryCreate PO’s in the ERP software for non-PO expensesPreparing Weekly Credit card paymentsMaintain up-to-date, complete and systematic filingCredit Card reconciliationsPreparing and recording Petty Cash expenses Journal EntriesAssist in the preparation of AP GL reconciliationsMonth end Intercompany reconciliationsAssist in the preparation of month end working papersParticipate in Weekly team meeting aimed at problem solving and process improvementAny other duties as assignedPayroll:
Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for employeesEnsure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductionsMaintain employee payroll records and update changes (benefits, tax forms, etc.)Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll regulationsPrepare and submit payroll remittances (taxes, CPP, EI, etc.)Respond to employee payroll inquiries
