We have an immediate opening for a Student Placement Coordinator! Are you a detail-oriented and highly organized individual who would enjoy being part of a fast‑paced team? Do you have a history of consistently meeting deadlines? If so, this opportunity IS for you!
Location: Hybrid – Surrey & Remote
Employment Type: Temporary, Full-time
Contract Term: July 2026 – December 2027
Salary: $48,000–$50,000 per year
Start Date: ASAP
The Student Placement Coordinator supports the Practice Education department by managing key administrative tasks and providing front‑line support to students, faculty, and staff. This role is committed to delivering a positive experience for students, host sites, and employers through responsive and customer‑focused service.
What You Will Do- Secure practicum placements for assigned programs
- Act as the primary liaison between students, host sites, and internal teams throughout the practicum lifecycle
- Support student readiness by providing practicum expectations and pre‑placement guidance
- Communicate practicum requirements to host sites
- Maintain positive relationships with existing host sites and identify and develop new host site partnerships as needed.
- Address and resolve practicum‑related issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Ensure all Host Site Affiliation Agreements are completed and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Track and maintain accurate records of placements, communications, and site details.
- Coordinate site orientations and any site‑specific training that is required for practicum.
- Support audits or reporting related to practicum placements and outcomes.
As the ideal candidate, you possess a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment. You bring:
- Minimum two years of education, and/or relevant work experience, in Office or Healthcare Administration
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Attention to detail with a strong ability to multi‑task and excellent time‑management skills
- Strong computer skills – proficient with MS Office; you are also a fast and accurate typist (45 wpm)
