As a Unit Clerk, you will perform a variety of clerical functions critical to the operation of a patient care area. This includes registering patients, transcribing physicians' orders, and acting as a communication hub among departments. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage patient admission, discharge, and transfer processes

• Transcribe and organize physicians' orders and communications

• Coordinate and schedule patient appointments and essential tests

• Assemble and maintain comprehensive patient records

• Answer telephones and manage correspondence efficiently

Requirements:

• Completion of a recognized Nursing Unit Clerk program

• Grade 12 education and knowledge of medical terminology

• At least one year of related clerical experience

• Effective organizational and communication skills

• Ability to operate various computer software applications
