Job Duties
Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor as needed
Inspect and check tire & wheels using devices to diagnose repair and create work order
Be on call after hours to assist when required for emergencies
Replace 100+ pound tires and dispose properly
Adjust, repair or replace tires with hand tools and equipment
Test and adjust repaired systems for proper performance
Keep shop area clean at all times and wear proper PPE
Perform scheduled maintenance service on tires and balancing
Advise customers on work performed and general condition of equipment
Determine estimates of repair cost
May repair and fill holes as well as repair metal on rims
Other duties that apply
Job Requirements
2 years commercial tire install and repair experience is required
Punctual
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Able to lift 105 lbs
Driver’s licence
Ability to use diagnostic computerized equipment
Computer literate
Willing to work after-hours and overtime when required
Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required for emergency tire service
Ability to provide a positive customer experience with customers when revealing diagnosis of truck tires if required
A working knowledge of passenger, light truck tires, commercial specialty tire services and wheels is required
A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
A keen attention to detail
Basic computer skills
References are required
