• The candidate will be required to test and adjust units in accordance with specifications.
• The candidate will be expected to inspect and test mechanical units for faults and malfunctions.
• The candidate will be required to diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with the supervisor in order to determine whether the unit should be repaired or replaced.
• The candidate will be required to repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• The candidate will be required to complete reports in order to record problems and work done.
• The candidate will be expected to keep equipment and tools in good working order.
• The candidate will be expected to do basic automotive maintenance, such as oil changes and tyre rotations.
• The candidate will be expected to estimate the costs of parts and labour.

• The candidate will be expected to provide customer service.
