Your job is to win good work, price it properly, and deliver it profitably.
You’ll be responsible for turning plans into accurate estimates and then turning those estimates into well-run projects that stay on schedule, stay within scope, and make money.
You are the bridge between sales, operations, and the field.
What You’ll Be Doing - Estimating & Pre-Construction- Reviewing drawings, specs, and site conditions
- Performing takeoffs, load calculations, and pricing
- Identifying risks, exclusions, and scope gaps
- Communicating with general contractors to clarify scope and timelines
- Submitting competitive, accurate bids with clear terms
- Taking over awarded projects from estimate to completion
- Being the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Scheduling manpower, materials, and subcontractors
- Managing budgets, change orders, and scope control
- Tracking job progress, profitability, and billing
- Preparing monthly and T&M invoices
- Making sure work is done safely, properly, and profitably
- Following and improving our estimating SOP
- Maintaining clean job notes, photos, and documentation
- Helping refine templates, takeoff sheets, and pricing databases
- Working with Operations to keep jobs flowing smoothly
- Journeyman Electrician or Electrical Technologist diploma
- 3+ years in electrical construction or project management
- 2+ years of electrical estimating experience
- Strong understanding of residential and commercial electrical systems
- Comfortable reading blueprints and specs
- Experience with Contractor Foreman, Excel, or similar tools
- Organized, detail-oriented, and accountable
- Confident communicating with clients and crews
- FSR-A or FSR-B is an asset
