As an HSE Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enforcing safety regulations while fostering cooperation within the project teams. Your experience with Indigenous First Nations and the BC Mine Act will enrich your ability to promote a proactive safety culture. Reporting to the HSE Superintendent, you’ll conduct inspections, mentor team members, and drive safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Enforce adherence to safety management systems
• Monitors and support risk assessments and safety practices
• Develop safety training and records management
• Investigate all safety incidents and propose solutions
• Collaborate in the development of HSE policies and guidelines
Requirements:
• Safety certification such as CRSP or NCSO
• 3 years minimum experience in mining or safety
• Knowledge of safe systems and assessment processes
• Strong decision-making and analytical skills
• Adaptability to change and strong communication abilities
