We are seeking a detail‑oriented and driven Estimator to join our growing team in Surrey, BC. What

You’ll Be Doing
  • Review tender packages, drawings, specifications, and project scope to develop accurate cost estimates, budgets, and competitive bid submissions.
  • Complete detailed quantity of take‑offs, material calculations, labour estimates, and pricing analysis to prepare comprehensive project quotations.
  • Lead the full estimating and pre‑construction process, including soliciting pricing from subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating bids, confirming scope, and managing subcontract buyouts.
  • Create and maintain files, track pricing revisions and document updates throughout the tender process until project handover.
  • Communicate with general contractors, clients, consultants, and project stakeholders to respond to RFIs, clarify project scope, and manage pricing for change orders.
  • Prepare estimate summaries, tender submissions, proposal documentation, and internal pricing reviews for management approval.
  • Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions, assess project requirements, and validate estimating assumptions.
  • Partner with the Project Management team during tender and project handover to ensure alignment on budgets, labour forecasts, access requirements, scheduling, and project scope.
  • Coordinate revisions and maintain accurate documentation through the Tender, Issued for Tender (IFT), and Issued for Construction (IFC) stages to ensure contract‑ready deliverables.
  • Apply value engineering, cost analysis, and market benchmarking techniques to optimize project pricing while cultivating strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
  • Post‑secondary education in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline; a diploma or certificate is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills, complemented by a technical or engineering aptitude.
  • Experience with computerized estimating and quantity takeoff software (e.g., On‑Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, or similar) is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and materials is an asset.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry, particularly in estimating, project coordination, or pre‑construction, is preferred.
Compensation Range

$60,/annually
