Safety and Wellness Coordinator Position

Become the driving force behind workplace safety as a Safety and Wellness Coordinator at Agnico Eagle, located in Dobie, Ontario. This key role focuses on incident management and regulatory compliance.

Reporting to the Health & Safety General Supervisor, you will work within the Health & Safety Department, directly impacting the safety framework of the Upper Beaver Mine site. You will lead training efforts, monitor adherence to safety protocols, and prepare safety-related reports, contributing positively to the mining operation’s safety record.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement health and safety programs

• Monitor employee compliance with safety regulations

• Conduct periodic site inspections and audits

• Manage incident reporting and data structure

• Promote safe working conditions and best practices

Requirements:

• High School Diploma is mandatory

• Experience in mining or related fields is essential

• Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations

• Familiarity with EHS software is preferable

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
