Heavy Equipment Operator

B&B Contracting Group is accepting applications for Heavy Equipment Operators to join our growing company. B&B is a union-affiliated employer that puts a strong emphasis on safety and offers highly competitive compensation and benefits. Heavy Equipment Operators earn a wage of $38-$41 per hour depending on skillset and experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform a daily pre-inspection of equipment

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment (e.g. greasing)

Exercise good judgment in load handling, placement of equipment and material

Able to interpret and use hand signals to communicate with others

Promote a safe work environment and adhere to safety policies and work procedures

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Possess a minimum of 2 years’ prior experience working in underground utility construction, civil construction, or landscaping

Ability to read underground utility locates

Possess strong work ethic and positive team attitude
