As a Civil Estimator reporting to the Chief Estimator, you will manage full-cycle estimating activities and support bid management. Your expertise in analyzing project specifications and engaging in sub-trade negotiations will be vital. Strong skills in first principles estimating and knowledge of local construction materials will help drive project success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare complete project estimates using estimating software
• Analyze specifications and proposal documentation
• Calculate material quantity takeoffs based on engineering drawings
• Identify project risks and devise effective bid strategies
• Ensure estimates align with project schedules and cost goals
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field
• 1+ years estimating experience in civil construction
• Proficient in HCSS Heavy Bid Software or similar
• Understanding of first principles estimating methodology
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
