The Customer Service Counter Sales position is the main point of contact for branch customers. The incumbent will provide excellent customer service, interpret customer needs, troubleshoot issues, ensure order accuracy and recommend products and solutions. Responsibilities may also include order assembly, packing and shipping, receiving stock, maintaining the warehouse, supporting customer sales, operating equipment, managing inventory, processing shipments and assisting with priority orders and customer inquiries.
Whatto expect in the role
- Attention to detail – review stock, assemble orders, and manage shipping and receiving.
- Customer‑service oriented – build and maintain relationships through product quotations and sales.
- Multi‑task – juggle multiple client requests and meet competing timelines.
- Communicator – verbal and written communication with customers and colleagues is essential.
- Highly organized – adapt to interruptions and high‑volume requests.
- Comfortable with technology – use phone, computer and internal systems to assist customers.
- 3 years of customer service experience (asset)
- 2 years of electrical lighting industry experience (asset)
- Previous warehouse operations experience including shipping/receiving (asset)
- Intermediate computer skills, proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software (must)
- Basic mathematical skills (must)
- Wide knowledge of EB Horsman & Son products and services (asset)
- Project coordination experience (asset)
- Ability to be inclusive, collaborative and respectful (must)

Compensation is determined by experience, education, qualifications, role complexity, internal equity and other relevant factors.
