- Education:
Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry - Experience:
1 year to less than 2 years Tasks - Clean teeth
- Diagnose dental diseases
- Examine patients' teeth, gums and surrounding tissue
- Instruct patients on oral hygiene
- Plan dental health treatment
- Restore, extract and replace diseased and decayed teeth
- Perform oral surgery, periodontal surgery and other treatments
- Supervise staff
- Design bridgework, fit dentures and provide appliances Supervision
- 3-4 people Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
- National Dental Examining Board of Canada Certification Screening questions
