Job SummaryFraser Health requires two full‑time (2 × 1.0 FTE) palliative care physicians to provide clinical service alongside a multidisciplinary team in Surrey, B.C. The role involves Most Responsible Provider (MRP) coverage in the Palliative Complex Care Unit (PCCU) and consultation services to acute‑care and community‑based patients.
Throughout the Fraser Health Authority, we provide integrated, regional, and comprehensive palliative care services in a number of settings: 30 PCCU beds, consult services in 12 acute‑care sites, support for 126 hospice beds, and undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in affiliation with the Division of Palliative Care at the University of British Columbia.
The Successful Candidate Will Have- One‑year enhanced skills residency and the Certificate of Added Competence (CAC) through the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
- Two‑year Royal College subspecialty in Palliative Medicine.
Alternative Payment Plan; may be eligible for up to $10,000 relocation reimbursement and MOCAP – On‑call payments. Remuneration is by service contract at a rate set provincially by the Ministry of Health.
