Khalsa Secondary School is seeking candidates for one Secondary School French Teacher for our Sikh faith‑based school located at 10589 124 Street. Academic teachers do not have to be observers of the faith. Teachers from all diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply! We are an IB MYP authorized World School and an AP Level 2 school. We are a growing school with a lot of opportunities!

Our teachers are supported and have a prep in each semester.

Salary:
Starting salary of $6400 per month. There is additional pay for certified teachers teaching IB courses. You must demonstrate the willingness to be trained to teach IB courses and be fluent in reading, writing and speaking French.

• This salary is only offered to Certificate of Qualification teachers or teachers who have a completed application with the Teacher Certification Branch (BC) for a CoQ.
• Teaching experience from within Canada is recognized for a possible higher starting salary for CoQ teachers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
• BC teaching certification.
• Proven experience teaching related subjects (preferable).
• Strong organizational skills to manage lesson plans and grading effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to tailor teaching methods for diverse learning styles.

• Proficient in proofreading educational materials.
• Classroom management expertise.
• Effective communication and writing skills.
• Experience in tutoring or special education is a plus.
• Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
