Position: Sikh Faith-Based Elective Teacher Role
Become an elective subject teacher at Khalsa Secondary School, starting September 1, 2026, and inspire students in a unique Sikh faith-based environment. Diverse candidates are encouraged to apply.

Khalsa Secondary School is situated at  Street and is looking for passionate elective subject teachers for the  school year. Successful candidates will teach subjects like Food Studies, Media Arts, and Visual Arts, and will benefit from a prep period each semester. Teaching staff play a crucial role in creating an inclusive educational atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct elective subjects, including Art Studio and Food Studies

• Plan engaging lessons meeting curriculum requirements

• Maintain strong relationships with students and parents

• Assess students' progress using effective methods

• Communicate effectively with colleagues and families

Requirements:

• Must possess a BC Teaching Certification or be in process

• Full-time commitment to teaching necessary

• Teaching experience in Canada preferred for salary consideration

• Knowledge of educational methods and materials required

• Ability to foster a positive classroom environment
