Position: Part-Time Social Service Instructor Role
Join Discovery Community College as a part-time Social Service Instructor in Surrey, BC, and facilitate transformative learning experiences. Mentor aspiring social service workers in our thriving community program.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic instructor to lead our Community Support Work program. You will foster a dynamic learning space where students can acquire vital skills for community impact. This role is ideal for those passionate about education, working Monday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate engaging classroom instruction using provided materials

• Create and implement lesson plans that align with course outcomes

• Mentor students in developing practical community support skills

• Evaluate student performance and maintain progress records

• Ensure a respectful and inclusive classroom atmosphere

Requirements:

• Certificate in Community Support Work or extensive experience

• Minimum 2 years relevant occupational background or 10 years equivalent

• Previous teaching or mentoring experience is preferred

• Strong digital skills

• Group Home experience is essential
