We are seeking a dynamic Education Assistant to work with students in the family home for the 2026-27 school year. This is a part‑time contract position that may grow in hours over the course of the school year, depending on student needs and EA skillsets.
Responsibilities- Support the social, spiritual, and academic learning needs of students, providing mentorship to the whole person
- Connect with students individually or in small groups
- Collaborate with teaching staff to support delivery of personalized learning opportunities
- Build relationships with families, teachers and other EAs
- Assist in carrying out IEP goals, working alongside the broader student support team
We are looking for someone with the following qualities:
- Orton‑Gillingham certification preferred
- Background working in Education, EA Support, Behaviour Intervention, or with children/youth
- Professionals with non‑EA specific credentials are encouraged to also apply (e.g., psychology, behaviour analysis, social work, coaching, mathematics, etc.)
- A valid Certified Educational Assistant certificate (or training in process) is considered an asset
- Subject matter knowledge in the applicable grade levels or willingness to learn
