Join World Vision Academy as a Summer English Tutor, guiding secondary students through online credit courses. This role focuses on Composition 10 and New Media, engaging students effectively.
Located in Surrey, World Vision Academy seeks qualified teachers experienced in the BC High School English Curriculum. Ideal candidates will possess a teaching certification, familiarity with English instruction for secondary levels, and proven organizational skills to manage classroom dynamics. Prior experience with tutoring and mentoring students is a plus for fostering effective learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide focused instruction for online summer courses
• Develop lesson plans aligned with BC curriculum
• Assess and evaluate students' assignments and exams
• Adapt teaching strategies to support student progress
• Communicate regularly with students and parents
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
• BC teaching certification preferred
• Strong familiarity with Composition 10 and New Media
• Excellent proofreading and writing skills
• Experience with special education students is beneficial
