Kwantlen Automotive Service Technician Educator

Join KPU as an Automotive Service Technician Instructor in a full-time capacity. Contribute to both classroom instruction and hands-on training in an automotive shop environment.

This role within the Faculty of Trades and Technology focuses on providing Foundation and Apprenticeship training. Familiarity with established curricula and online teaching tools such as Moodle is essential. You will manage various projects while supporting students' learning processes and preparing assessments outside of class hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Foundation and Apprenticeship training effectively

• Conduct hands-on instruction in an automotive shop

• Prepare lessons and assessments outside of class

• Maintain interaction with students to enhance learning

• Work collaboratively with fellow instructors on course delivery

Requirements:

• Hold BC Automotive Service Technician Certificate with IP RSE

• At least five years of diverse automotive repair experience

• Strong communication ability with students

• Previous experience in instructional roles is advantageous

• Commitment to student engagement and success
