Khalsa Secondary School is seeking an Applied Skills and Design Teacher (Foods and Marketing) for our Sikh faith‑based school located demic teachers need not be observers of the faith. Teachers from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply. The school is an IB MYP authorized World School and an AP Level 2 school. We are growing and our teachers receive prep each semester.
We have an opening for September 2025 and recognize North American teaching experience. Please indicate the position of interest on your cover letter.

Starting salary: $6,400 per month.
- Other salary benefits are available for this position.
- Salary is offered only to Certificate of Qualification teachers or teachers with a completed application with the Teacher Certification Branch (BC) for a CoQ.
- Teaching experience from within Canada may lead to a higher starting salary for CoQ teachers.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to the curriculum.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to ensure all students understand the material.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience.
- Participate in parent‑teacher meetings and school events.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- BC teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching related subjects (preferred).
- Strong organizational skills to manage lesson plans and grading effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to tailor teaching methods for diverse learning styles.
- Proficient in proofreading educational materials.
- Classroom management expertise.
- Effective communication and writing skills.
- Experience in tutoring or special education is a plus.
- Strong organizational abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Details- Job types:
Full‑time, Fixed‑term contract. - Contract length: 10 months.
