Location:

Oxford Learning Surrey Clayton Heights. Salary: $20.00 per hour.

Part-Time Elementary Teacher/Tutor Wanted. Are you eager to help elementary students succeed in all subjects? We are currently seeking part-time teacher-tutors for a role in our learning centre at Oxford Learning Clayton Heights and Grandview Heights
. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with students and is passionate about helping others build their skills. Our hours count and you will gain valuable teaching experience. Tutors do not have to pre-plan lessons, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

All Teacher-Tutors work during after-school and evening hours Mon - Fri (3:00pm - 8:00pm) as well as Saturday mornings (9:00am - 12:00pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred; continuing through the summer is an added benefit. Reliability is essential. This role is in-person; you must be able to commute to this location. Relocation packages are not available.

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

We encourage applicants who meet the majority of the following requirements:

• Education
• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• University students with tutoring experience will be considered
• Grade 12 high school students will be considered

• Experience
• Some experience teaching/tutoring Kindergarten to Grade 7
• Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
• Ability to multitask and work with up to three students at a time

You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

• Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
• Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
• Completing post-lesson notes
• Completing daily student communication updates
• Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

• Smiles, high-fives & happy students
• Fun staff events
• Frequent check-ins and feedback
• Hands-on development of teaching skills
