Position: Zebra Robotics  STEM Coach

Job Overview

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a coach for students (grades 1–12). You are the right candidate if you are an energetic individual with an engaging personality who is able to impart STEM learning in an innovative and fun environment. Our coaches are the lifeblood of our operation. You will join our team of coaches to teach hands on STEM projects.

Are you experienced in working with children? Do you enjoy teaching and building problem solving skills in young engineering minds? This could be the role for you.

Responsibilities
  • Impart STEM curriculum to students in Grades 1 to 6. You will be trained in the curriculum
  • Productively engage a classroom of 4 to 6 students and creatively impart the lessons to students
  • Troubleshoot and assist students with their lessons and programs
  • Evaluate students’ progress in every class and recommend areas of improvement
  • Report to the center director on daily progress
  • Maintain the high standard of education that we strive to achieve
Experience & Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in or graduated from an undergraduate science, technology, engineering or math program.
  • Verifiable experience in handling children
  • Coding exposure is an asset
Other requirements
  • Creative, energetic, positive, fun-loving, and kid-friendly
  • Independent, self-motivated, and passionate to teach kids
  • Volunteering or a year of teaching experience will be an asset
  • Possess excellent oral communication skills
  • Able to come to the business location in Surrey Guilford independently and on time
  • Should be willing and able to undergo a background check and should clear such background check before employment
Work Hours

Weekdays:
Evening programs are typically between 4 PM and 8 PM on weekdays.
Weekends:
Saturday’s only from 10 AM to 2 PM.
We are closed on Sunday’s and for major holidays.

The candidate is expected to be present at the center 15 mins before the class start time.
