HCOS Education Assistant

Position: HCOS Education Assistant Contract Role
Become an Education Assistant at HCOS for the 2026-27 school year, supporting children's growth and development in their family home. Engage in part-time mentorship tailored to individual student needs.

This role will allow you to connect personally with students, collaborate with educators, and ensure tailored educational experiences. Responsibilities may increase throughout the year, allowing for flexibility based on students' progress and assistant capabilities. Your commitment will contribute to students’ holistic development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support academic, social, and spiritual needs of students

• Connect with students individually or in small groups

• Collaborate with educators for personalized learning support

• Foster relationships with families and educators

• Assist in executing IEP goals with other professionals

Requirements:

• Orton-Gillingham certification preferred

• Education-related experience or background

• Certified Educational Assistant certificate is an asset

• Strong organizational and critical thinking skills

• Creative, adaptable, and solutions-oriented mindset
