In this on-call position, your collaboration with teachers and parents is essential. Responsibilities include preparing students for integration into classrooms and participating in behavior management reviews. You will also address cultural needs by promoting awareness and support through various programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support individual students' classroom engagement
• Aid in their transition back to full class integration
• Review and modify behavior management strategies
• Build relationships with parents for community involvement
• Address Indigenous issues through workshops and cultural events
Requirements:
• Knowledge of cognitive-behavioral interventions
• Two years of practical experience with Indigenous youth
• Comprehensive understanding of Indigenous family systems
• Strong motivational skills
• Ability to maintain a supportive attitude
Utilize your skills to foster an inclusive educational environment for Indigenous youth in Surrey.
